As first-time homebuyers in Canada, my spouse and I were unfamiliar with the process involved in buying a house in Canada. Nancy was very informative in explaining the steps involved and what to expect. Since we also had the task of selling our current home in the US, Nancy worked closely with our real estate agent in the US to coordinate everything so that our transition was seamless. This is not an easy task, but somehow she made it happen. The amount of time and energy she spent on our behalf was quite remarkable. Nancy was always available no matter what day of the week or time of day. She made every effort to acquaint us with all homes that fit our needs and budget. We had very specific criteria and location requirements for our home and Nancy was determined to find the perfect home for us. As you know, we had been in our house at Springbrook Crescent for the past 16 years. During that time, we had tried several times to sell the house. We used different sales agents, even dealt with brokers directly and also, tried to sell the house at "rock bottom price" on our own, through private sale - without any success. I, personally, had made up my mind that this is going to be our house and we should give up on the idea of ever moving away from it. Then, you came along and you must have guessed from the way I spoke to you, that I was not serious about selling. I refused to look at any other houses, since I knew deep in my heart that you would not succeed in selling our house. What a gem Nancy is!
Although we had not had a lot of experience with house hunting and with moving, we knew we were engaged in something pretty terrific when partnered with Nancy.
Nancy made us feel like we were the only clients of hers (when I know this just wasn't so!). When I think of you and your service I can see a huge basket of fruit on my counter so I wouldn't starve, I can see you out in the rain trying to soothe my dog who had never had to stay outside before, I can see you trying to comfort my son when you hammered the sold sign into the lawn of the only house he'd ever known, I can see you trying to talk me back from the ledge as the home I built with my own to hands slipped through them, and I can remember a spa day that made me feel like all things were possible.
